TradeStation Securities, the US brokerage focused on active equity and derivatives traders, has integrated with QuantWheel, an options trading platform for directional and income-focused traders. TradeStation clients can now research opportunities, place orders and track options positions from within QuantWheel, with trades executed by TradeStation.
Directional traders on QuantWheel can examine dealer positioning, including gamma levels, and live options flow before selecting calls, puts and spreads. Income-focused traders can screen for cash-secured puts, covered calls and credit spreads against their own criteria and monitor which positions are approaching assignment. Orders approved by the trader route straight to TradeStation, with spreads and poor man’s covered calls submitted as a single order, and positions synchronize with QuantWheel’s options journal, which tracks cost basis through rolls and assignments.
QuantWheel also provides QW Intelligence, an AI assistant that works from a trader’s own positions and cost basis to answer portfolio questions and run recurring checks. The platform supports the Model Context Protocol and API connections to external AI tools.
“Options traders often move between separate tools to analyze the market, identify a trade, place an order, and manage the resulting position,” said John Bartleman, President and CEO of TradeStation Group. He said the integration gives clients a more connected path from analysis to execution while keeping them in control of each order.
Qualifying TradeStation clients receive QuantWheel’s full Quant plan at no cost, along with $0 commissions on stock and equity options contracts, a $0.75 index option fee, no contract limits and no assignment fees. QuantWheel co-founders Ivan Orehovec and Luka Knezic said the goal is to keep the entire process, from understanding the market to managing a position, in one workflow.
The two companies are not affiliated. TradeStation clients can also trade through TradeStation Desktop, TradeStation Mobile and an open API that supports third-party connections.
