Financial infrastructure company Sokin has appointed Christopher Morris as Chief Revenue Officer as part of a wider set of executive changes. Morris joins from Corpay Cross-Border, where he was most recently Chief Growth Officer, Payment Solutions. At Sokin he will lead the global commercial organisation, covering sales, onboarding, relationship management and revenue operations.

Alongside the hire, Peter Daunton, previously Chief Product Officer, becomes Chief Strategy Officer. He is succeeded as Chief Product Officer by Benedict Kelly, who joins from issuer processing platform Thredd, where he was Vice President of Product Management. Taina Biggs has also joined as Vice President, Global Brand and Communications, from enterprise software provider MANTL; she previously led communications across the Americas for Wise.

Morris brings more than 20 years of experience in global payments and foreign exchange. At Corpay he built an embedded payments partnership business in North America that later expanded globally. Sokin says that experience fits its model: some customers use the platform directly to manage international finance, while others embed it in their own products to offer multi-currency payments under the licences Sokin holds in 36 countries. Embedded partner deals now account for 40% of Sokin’s new US revenue.

Morris said he was drawn by Sokin’s work on agentic treasury and on infrastructure for financial institutions and fintechs. Founder and CEO Vroon Modgill said Morris had taken a partner business “from a single region to a global one,” which is the experience the company needs as more platforms integrate Sokin.

Founded in 2019, Sokin lets businesses move and manage money in more than 70 currencies across over 170 countries and hold balances in 28 of them. The company says more than $11 billion a year flows across its licences and infrastructure, which include stablecoin-to-fiat settlement rails. It has raised over $100 million from investors including Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital and Prysm Capital.
