SOLVE Launches AI-Powered Confidence Score for Corporate Bonds to Quantify Pricing Uncertainty

Share It:

SOLVE, a leading provider of pre-trade data and predictive pricing for fixed income securities markets, has launched Confidence Score for Corporate Bonds. This new AI-powered metric is designed to enhance SOLVE Px™ by quantifying pricing uncertainty on a standardized 1–10 scale, offering a transparent and interpretable layer to predictive pricing for fixed income professionals.

Confidence Score assists professionals in assessing the reliability of predicted prices across more than 250,000 investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds. Higher scores on the 1–10 scale indicate greater confidence in the predicted price. SOLVE makes these scores available through data feeds and its SOLVE Quotes Web application (SQW).

Within SQW, scores are color-coded into three categories—Low (1–2), Medium (3–6), and High (7–10)—to enable quick distinction between varying levels of pricing confidence. The metric applies to Bid, Mid, and Offer predictions within SOLVE Px workflows. Users can view Confidence Scores for individual Px predictions in every SQW module and can filter results by category or numeric value to streamline their workflows based on required confidence levels.

By pairing every predicted price with a measurable uncertainty indicator, Confidence Score helps clients better understand price quality, particularly in markets with variable liquidity and price discovery. Corporate bonds with recent trading activity, active quoting, and strong comparables typically generate higher confidence scores, while less liquid securities may naturally show lower confidence. This metric is applied across SOLVE Px’s entire corporate bond coverage, including highly illiquid bonds and all trade sizes, not just larger, actively traded blocks. This transparency allows teams to adjust analytics, workflows, and decision-making to account for potential risks associated with price predictions, thereby reducing ambiguity and supporting defensible pricing decisions in trading, risk management, and analytics.

Eugene Grinberg, Co-Founder and CEO of SOLVE, stated that extending Confidence Score to corporate credit, including bonds and trade sizes historically harder to price with confidence, is part of SOLVE’s ongoing effort to make AI-driven pricing more transparent, actionable, and operational across trading, risk, and analytics.

Confidence Score is currently integrated across various SOLVE Px delivery methods and workflows. It is included in responses for both predict-by-identifier and historical-by-identifier endpoints for Bid, Mid, and Offer via SOLVE Px API Endpoints. For the SOLVE Px Excel Add-In Functions, the existing Px Score attribute is now populated for Corporate Bonds using SPX and SPXH, available independently for Bid, Mid, and Offer. Additionally, the SolvePx Score field is populated for Corporate Bonds via SOLVE Px FTP and FIX feed products.

This launch for corporate bonds follows SOLVE’s previous rollout of Confidence Score for municipal bonds and the introduction of SOLVE Px™ for the corporate bond market last year. These developments underscore SOLVE’s commitment to delivering greater transparency, consistency, and decision-ready intelligence to fixed income pricing.
