SentinelOne and Mimecast have announced an expanded technology partnership and integration, offering joint customers AI detections for enhanced visibility into human risk and more effective management strategies.
The collaboration builds on previous efforts to accelerate incident response across email and endpoints, including Mimecast’s participation in SentinelOne’s AI SIEM ecosystem. The new capability integrates real-time endpoint telemetry from SentinelOne’s Singularity® Platform into Mimecast’s Human Risk Management (HRM) Platform. This integration allows the ingestion of malware-related events from SentinelOne into the Mimecast platform, enabling the correlation of threats with individual user behavior, identification of high-risk employees, and delivery of targeted interventions. These interventions can range from behavioral nudges to adaptive policies, designed to drive measurable behavioral change. This provides CISOs and security leaders with a unified view of human risk across both email and endpoint environments, alongside a mechanism for effective risk management.
Melissa K. Smith, VP of Technology Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives at SentinelOne, stated, “Understanding and managing human risk is essential for cyber resilience. Our expanded integration with Mimecast will help security teams move beyond reactive defense to proactively reduce user-driven risk by combining best-in-class endpoint telemetry and behavioral AI. Our technology partnership with Mimecast exemplifies our shared commitment to delivering connected, intelligent security ecosystems empowering customers to stay ahead of today’s pressing threats.”
This announcement addresses current challenges faced by security teams, such as alert fatigue, false positives, and an expanding attack surface. Traditional one-size-fits-all training and security policies often struggle to adapt to the complexity of modern threats, leading to increased burdens on SOC teams for alert triage while still expecting reductions in human risk. The integration aims to combine high-confidence threat intelligence from SentinelOne with Mimecast’s behavior-based awareness platform, enabling defenders to focus on behavior modification rather than solely reactive measures.
Micheal McCollough, SVP, WW Partners & Alliances at Mimecast, commented, “In order to fully protect the enterprise, organizations must be able to identify where their risk is coming from. 8% of employees cause 80% of security incidents, and if we can’t identify the riskiest users, we can’t block the threats. By enhancing our integration with SentinelOne, joint customers can tap into their threat data across endpoint and communication channels to identify where the risk is coming from and block it before it impacts the business.”
The joint integration offers several benefits, including Unified Human Risk Visibility, which links endpoint threat activity directly to user identities for comprehensive risk profiling. Targeted Behavioral Intervention triggers real-time nudges or microlearning campaigns for risky users, providing personalized training. Adaptive Policies dynamically adjust security measures based on real-time risk assessment, behavioral science data, and threat intelligence. The integration is seamlessly activated and available at no additional cost for Mimecast Engage customers.
This integration complements existing collaborations, including Mimecast’s HRM Platform’s integration with endpoint telemetry from SentinelOne, and enhancements to SentinelOne’s AI SIEM with enriched email threat data from Mimecast. This shared intelligence improves signal fidelity and contextual awareness within the Singularity® Platform, reinforcing SentinelOne as a primary AI-powered platform for collecting telemetry across environments to power accurate, real-time AI threat detection and response. Mimecast was recognized at the 2025 SentinelOne PartnerOne Awards, receiving the Strategic Technology Partner of the Year award for both EMEA and North America.
A joint presentation and live demonstration of the integration will be held at the SentinelOne booth #3033 at Black Hat USA on August 6 at 1:30 p.m. PT.
