Dallas-based advisory firm Riveron has acquired Eden Data, an Austin-based firm specializing in cybersecurity, governance, risk, compliance (GRC), and artificial intelligence (AI), significantly expanding the scope and depth of Riveron’s Risk Advisory solutions.
Riveron’s acquisition aims to create a comprehensive platform encompassing financial controls, compliance, and emerging technology risk management. Eden Data, founded by Taylor Hersom, contributes nearly 60 professionals with expertise in GRC, technology, and cybersecurity. The firm assists businesses in achieving audit-readiness and IPO-preparation by specializing in compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI. Its client base spans diverse industries, reflecting a broad market need for scalable risk solutions.
The demand for integrated risk advisory services is growing as chief financial officers (CFOs) and boards face increased scrutiny regarding data privacy, cybersecurity, and the governance of emerging technologies. This partnership positions Riveron to address these challenges by integrating financial, operational, and cyber-expertise into a unified platform.
Sam Shaw, CEO of Riveron, stated, “This partnership is a game-changer for the clients we serve through our growing Risk Advisory team. Eden Data brings in-demand cyber, compliance, and AI risk expertise that perfectly complements our SOX, internal audit, and enterprise risk services. Together, we’re building a one-stop shop for our clients to help them address today’s most pressing risk management challenges.”
Taylor Hersom, who will continue to lead the Eden Data team’s growth, commented, “Riveron is a highly respected firm with stable, long-lasting client relationships. It offers the perfect opportunity to showcase our distinctive expertise within a robust, broader platform. We know that this combined team will be able to further our mission of helping companies strengthen their cybersecurity posture and build trust amid a complex, rapidly evolving technology and compliance landscape. Our professionals are looking forward to delivering a broader, more comprehensive solution set as part of Riveron.”
This acquisition follows Riveron’s strategic investments over the past two years, including Effectus Group, which enhanced its accounting advisory expertise, and Yantra, which bolstered its technology enablement and AI solutions.
Riveron, founded in 2006, provides mission-critical services to the office of the CFO, private equity firms, and other capital providers. With over 1,200 professionals across 18 international offices, the firm offers solutions for M&A, financial distress, technology transformation, and process improvement.
