MANTL, an Alkami solution team specializing in loan and deposit account opening technology, has announced a strategic partnership with Method Financial, a provider of consumer permissioned financial connectivity, to integrate real-time liability data into MANTL’s Loan Origination platform, aiming to streamline decisioning and improve the refinancing and debt consolidation experience for financial institutions.
The integration of Method’s real-time liability data directly into the MANTL Loan Origination platform is designed to empower financial institutions to enhance decision-making, increase prequalification accuracy, and deliver a more efficient and transparent refinancing and debt consolidation process across both physical and digital banking channels. MANTL expanded its deposit account opening platform to include loan origination to offer financial institutions a unified solution for managing both sides of their balance sheet and addressing the demand for integrated digital lending.
The MANTL Loan Origination platform modernizes consumer and business lending through advanced tooling and automation for Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, underwriting, and booking. This partnership specifically addresses legacy refinancing challenges, such as reliance on outdated, static data and the need for borrowers to manually enter loan details. These issues can lead to friction, incomplete applications, and increased risk for lenders.
The MANTL–Method integration is intended to consolidate real-time liability and payoff data into a single, seamless application workflow. This aims to improve efficiencies across origination, underwriting, and funding by eliminating the need for manual payoff letter requests and verification. It is designed to ensure that banks and credit unions receive accurate and up-to-date payoff quotes and automatically verifies that a loan being refinanced is linked to its existing collateral, such as a vehicle or boat, where applicable.
Benjamin Conant, chief product officer at Alkami and co-founder of MANTL, stated, “Introducing real-time liability data into MANTL Loan Origination fundamentally elevates the loan refinancing experience for both borrowers and bankers. By expanding our ecosystem of best-in-class integration partners like Method, we’re able to simplify complex steps, reduce friction, and support faster, more informed loan decision-making. MANTL has already transformed digital lending through automation, and extending that same level of innovation and efficiency to refinancing further highlights our continued momentum in the loan market.”
Jose Bethancourt, co-founder and chief executive officer of Method Financial, commented, “Refinancing has been stuck on outdated rails for far too long. By integrating Method’s real-time liability data network directly into MANTL’s Loan Origination platform, we’re giving banks and credit unions the ability to make instant, accurate decisions and fund loans without the operational drag. Together, we’re replacing manual payoff letters and guesswork with transparency, automation, and a modern borrower experience that drives better financial outcomes.”
