Loomis AB, a global provider of cash and payment services, and NCR Atleos, a leader in self-service financial access, have announced the renewal of their partnership with Tesco Insurance and Money Services (IMS) in the UK. This extension continues a decade-long collaboration focused on providing essential cash access across the UK through Tesco IMS’s extensive ATM network.
The Tesco IMS ATM network, the third largest in the UK, consists of over 3,000 NCR Atleos machines located in approximately 2,000 retail locations. This infrastructure is critical for UK consumers, facilitating around 300 million cash withdrawals annually, which accounts for 18% of all yearly cash withdrawals in the country. The renewed agreement underscores the importance of maintaining reliable and widespread access to physical cash.
Under the partnership, Loomis and NCR Atleos are jointly responsible for the cash forecasting, replenishment, and maintenance services for all Tesco IMS ATMs nationwide. This collaborative effort ensures the continuous availability and operational efficiency of the network, providing Tesco shoppers with surcharge-free, secure, and convenient access to cash within supermarket retail locations.
