Emburse has introduced an updated Sage Intacct Connector for Emburse Professional, designed to provide mutual customers with improved spend visibility, compliance, and streamlined financial close processes.
This launch signifies a deepening collaboration between Emburse and Sage, a provider of accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs). The integration aligns with Emburse’s broader vision for Expense Intelligence, which aims to integrate travel, procurement, and reimbursement data into an AI-powered financial framework.
The Sage Intacct Connector for Emburse Professional offers a user-friendly setup that allows customers to self-configure the integration in minutes, contrasting with what Emburse describes as potentially costly and complex deployments of other vendors. The tool is engineered to assist controllers, accounting managers, and finance teams in accelerating close processes and enhancing spend visibility through an AI-powered platform.
Paul Nagy, Chief Product Officer of Emburse, stated, “This integration helps us expand our vision for Expense Intelligence by empowering teams with quicker, easier access to accurate data and deeper control over spend. By seamlessly integrating Emburse Professional with Sage Intacct, we’ve gone beyond transactional automation to deliver more visibility and actionable insight for finance. This enables our joint customers to reduce manual effort, strengthen compliance, and turn expense data into strategic drivers for smarter decision-making.”
The new solution facilitates bi-directional data synchronization between Emburse Professional and Sage Intacct. Expense data is coded and posted into Sage on-demand, while updates to vendors, customers, project codes, and employee records flow back into Emburse. This functionality aims to eliminate duplicate entry, reduce reconciliation delays, and accelerate monthly and quarterly close cycles.
The integration supports finance teams by enabling them to map general ledger (GL) accounts, dimensions, and Sage-specific fields to align expense data with their financial structure. Users can export receipt images directly into Sage Intacct for audit-ready expense records, schedule automated data syncs to align with close cycles, and monitor sync activity with built-in logging and diagnostic tools. Additionally, the system includes embedded controls to enforce spend policies and proactively detect fraud, reducing risk before it impacts the ledger.
Finance teams can deploy the Sage Intacct Connector for Emburse Professional through a self-service interface, designed to facilitate immediate transformation in expense data management and month-end operations.
