Celonis, a global leader in Process Intelligence, and Databricks, a data and AI company, have announced a partnership to provide customers with a pathway to operationalize AI through a direct integration of their platforms.
The integration connects the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, leveraging Delta Sharing. Delta Sharing is an open-source approach developed by Databricks that enables customers to share live data securely across various platforms, clouds, and regions, complete with robust security and governance features.
This bi-directional integration, powered by Delta Sharing, eliminates the necessity of moving or copying data between the two platforms. This approach helps break down data silos, reduces the number of data copies, limits synchronization errors, enhances security protocols, and simplifies overall data governance for enterprises.
Customers benefit from a continuous learning loop for AI-driven operations. Celonis can read live data stored in Databricks and enrich it with an organization’s specific business context to create a living digital twin of their operations, known as the Celonis Process Intelligence Graph (PI Graph). This digital twin offers a clear view of current operations and potential areas for improvement.
Insights derived from the PI Graph can then be fed into Agent Bricks, Databricks’ AI product designed for building production-quality AI agents optimized on an organization’s data. Furthermore, the insights and outputs generated by these AI agents can be injected back into the PI Graph, facilitating continuous optimization of business processes.
Marc Kinast, Vice President of Corporate Development at Celonis, stated, “We want to give customers choice when deciding how they use AI to transform their business. And with this integration, we’re offering them a strong foundation for effective enterprise AI. Databricks brings its secure, governed data infrastructure and industry-leading agentic development tools and we bring our unique Process Intelligence that provides the operational context AI needs to succeed. It’s a powerful combination.”
Sarah Branfman, Global Vice President, ISV and Data Partner GTM at Databricks, commented, “Enterprises want AI that truly understands their business. By connecting Celonis’ process intelligence with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, we’re giving customers a direct path to build and deploy custom AI agents with Agent Bricks—grounded in their own live, governed data. It’s how organizations turn process insights into real, intelligent action.”
Hobson Bullman, Vice President of Operations at Arm, also shared, “To achieve operational excellence, we need to intelligently orchestrate people, agents, and systems across our entire enterprise. By combining the strengths of Celonis and Databricks, we can deploy AI in the right places, ensure it understands how our business runs, and be confident that it will make our business more effective and efficient.”
The integration between Celonis and Databricks is made possible through Databricks Delta Sharing and the Celonis Data Core, which serves as Celonis’ high-performance data infrastructure. Celonis, headquartered in Munich, Germany, and New York City, USA, enables thousands of companies globally to understand and improve their business operations through its process mining and AI-powered platform.
