Pindrop Expands Deepfake Detection and Authentication to Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Teams

Pindrop, a leader in digital communications security, has announced the general availability of Pindrop® Pulse for Meetings. This expansion brings its authentication and deepfake detection technology to major video collaboration platforms, including Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Teams, aiming to secure enterprise conversations from both human and AI impostors.

The launch addresses the increasing threat of deepfake deception, which has moved from theoretical concerns to documented cases of financial fraud and compromised operations. One incident involved a finance employee being tricked into wiring $25 million after a video meeting with a fabricated version of their company’s CFO. Beyond financial fraud, digital manipulation is evident in various sectors; for instance, one in six job applicants show signs of digital manipulation, and UN estimates suggest that scams involving North Korean IT workers posing as remote hires have generated $250–$600 million annually since 2018.

Dr. Vijay Balasubramaniyan, CEO and Co-Founder of Pindrop, emphasized the foundational role of trust in business. He stated that advances in deepfake technology directly challenge this trust. With Pulse for Meetings, Pindrop aims to provide organizations with a seamless method to detect deepfakes and authenticate participants across frequently used video platforms, safeguarding conversations, decisions, and collaboration from digital deception.

MoonPay, a crypto payments company, is among the early adopters of Pulse for Meetings. Doug Innocenti, Chief Information Security Officer at MoonPay, noted that fraudsters are already employing real-time deepfakes to impersonate employees and infiltrate sensitive meetings. He added that partnering with Pindrop assists MoonPay in proactively addressing these threats and reinforcing trust in remote communications.

Pindrop® Pulse for Meetings builds upon the company’s audio engine, which has demonstrated 99% accuracy in detecting synthetic voices within contact centers. The solution analyzes live audio and video for AI-generated artifacts and subtle anomalies that are imperceptible to the human eye and ear. It combines this analysis with participant authentication and location intelligence to create a comprehensive platform designed to identify AI participants and verify the presence of a “real human, right human, and right location.”

Brendan Ittelson, Chief Ecosystem Officer at Zoom, commented on the integration, stating that Pindrop’s new tool helps ensure users can be confident that the individuals they see and hear are genuine. Zoom, as the first UCaaS provider to introduce Pindrop Pulse on its platform, anticipates offering this additional security feature within the Zoom Meetings experience. Pindrop® Pulse for Meetings is available through the Zoom® App Marketplace, the Cisco Webex App Hub, and the Microsoft Teams marketplace.

Pindrop’s expertise in this field is supported by over 75 patents in deepfake detection and voice authentication. The company has also received recognition as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025, achieved top performance in independent benchmarks such as ASV Spoof, and was a winner of the FTC Voice Cloning Challenge. Pindrop’s solutions are used by Fortune 500 companies to protect sensitive information, secure transactions, and detect fraud through advanced video and voice authentication technologies.
