MetaRouter, a privacy-first data orchestration platform, announced the expansion of its executive leadership team with the appointments of Ana Laura Zain as Chief Marketing Officer, Jason Bagg as Chief Financial Officer, and Jon Flugstad as Chief Business Officer. These appointments aim to strengthen the company’s position in AI-ready marketing and customer intelligence.
The appointments are a strategic move for MetaRouter as enterprises globally reassess how they capture, govern, and activate customer data in an AI-first environment. As organizations move away from fragmented tools and post-cookie solutions, MetaRouter is positioning itself as crucial infrastructure for real-time customer engagement, advanced analytics, and AI-driven experiences, while maintaining privacy, governance, and trust. Nikhil Raj, CEO of MetaRouter, stated, “We’re entering a phase where data infrastructure, not just channels or applications, will determine which companies win. Enterprises are under pressure to move faster with AI and customer data, but they also need absolute control, security, and privacy from the moment data is created. Ana Laura, Jason, and Jon bring world-class experience building and scaling global platforms at exactly this nexus.”
Ana Laura Zain joins MetaRouter as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing over 14 years of international marketing leadership in enterprise technology, data, and commerce platforms. Her previous senior roles include positions at Pentaleap, Comscore, and AppNexus-Xandr (acquired by Microsoft), where she led global marketing strategies across EMEA, LATAM, and North America. Ms. Zain will lead global marketing strategy, brand, and communications, articulating MetaRouter’s role as first-mile infrastructure for AI-ready marketing and customer intelligence. She commented, “What drew me to MetaRouter was the clarity of the problem it solves. Enterprises are overwhelmed by data, fragmented systems, and rising privacy expectations. MetaRouter operates at the moment data is created, giving organisations control, speed, and confidence to activate customer signals responsibly. That foundation is essential for the next generation of marketing, commerce, and AI-driven experiences.” She is also a co-founder and leader of Women in Commerce Media, a global network dedicated to equity, leadership, and advancement in the commerce media ecosystem.
Jason Bagg has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, contributing extensive experience in consumer, loyalty, and digital strategy, financial strategy, corporate development, and operational scaling within complex, data-driven organizations. His background includes roles in investment banking and principal investing, with senior leadership positions at Wesfarmers, Intrinsic Partners, and Myer Family Investments, in addition to Macquarie Capital and Uber. Mr. Bagg will oversee financial strategy, capital planning, and operational discipline as MetaRouter expands its global platform. He noted, “MetaRouter is building critical infrastructure for enterprises navigating an AI-first shift. The winners will be those who can turn first-party signals into better customer experiences in the moment—without compromising privacy, governance, or trust. MetaRouter’s first-mile approach makes that possible, and I’m excited to help scale a business that brings speed, control, and confidence together at exactly the right time.”
Jon Flugstad assumes the role of Chief Business Officer, bringing substantial experience in building and scaling commerce and retail media platforms globally. He previously served as Head of Business Development at Moloco, where he assisted retailers in launching and expanding advanced advertising businesses powered by machine learning. Prior to Moloco, Mr. Flugstad led the Retail Media practice at McKinsey & Company in North America. At MetaRouter, he will lead business development, partnerships, and global go-to-market strategy. Mr. Flugstad stated, “Enterprises are re-architecting how data flows through their organisations to support AI, advanced analytics, and real-time customer engagement. MetaRouter provides the infrastructure layer that makes that transformation possible—giving companies control of their first-party data from the first mile. I’m excited to help scale that capability globally.”
MetaRouter positions itself as the first-mile data platform driving the future of AI-ready marketing, commerce, and customer intelligence. By operating at the moment data is created, the platform enables enterprises to capture, govern, and activate high-value customer signals in real time, before they fragment across various tools and partners. The company emphasizes its purpose-built design for privacy, performance, and scale, facilitating faster activation, smarter measurement, and more durable identity across marketing platforms, commerce systems, analytics, and AI-driven experiences without exposing raw data or relying on third-party cookies.
