Mastercard has introduced “The Mastercard Collection,” a new suite of premium benefits, alongside the launch of its World Legend Mastercard, the company’s most exclusive consumer card, designed to align with evolving consumer preferences for experiences over material possessions.
The initiative is a direct response to new Mastercard research indicating a significant consumer shift toward prioritizing connection and investing time and money in fulfilling experiences with loved ones. Bunita Sawhney, chief consumer product officer at Mastercard, stated, “Time well-spent with people who matter most is truly priceless. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce The Mastercard Collection. Together with issuers around the world, we look forward to granting cardholders and their families access to memory-making experiences wherever they go.”
“The Mastercard Collection” offers elevated, globally connected dining, entertainment, and travel benefits. For dining, cardholders gain priority reservations at sought-after restaurants, access to specially crafted menus, and unique experiences. In entertainment, benefits include presale ticket access and premium seating for music events through Mastercard’s international partnership with Live Nation, as well as access to tickets for sporting events. Travel benefits are designed for streamlined airport experiences, offering access to 190 fast-track security lanes at over 30 airports and entry to more than 1,350 airport lounges across 600 cities and nearly 150 countries. Future enhancements include Mastercard-exclusive dining spaces at select international airports.
These curated experiences are available to eligible World portfolio cardholders, complementing existing benefits and rewards programs from issuing banks. Cardholders can explore and book experiences via priceless.com/themastercardcollection or their banking app. For instance, a U.S. cardholder visiting London could use the collection for expedited airport security, dinner reservations at a top restaurant, and tickets to a West End show.
Alongside this collection, Mastercard is expanding its World portfolio with the debut of the World Legend Mastercard, targeting higher-spending cardholders. This card is positioned as Mastercard’s most prestigious consumer offering to date, designed for individuals seeking exceptional and exclusive experiences. The World Legend Mastercard is currently available to banks globally and is scheduled to launch for U.S. cardholders in Q3 2025, with a broader international rollout to follow.
The Mastercard Collection and its associated card tiers are intended to provide issuers with a curated platform for dining, entertainment, and travel experiences, enabling them to develop differentiated products that foster customer loyalty and brand affinity. The philosophy behind the collection is centered on the belief that life’s most meaningful moments are invaluable.
Mastercard’s proprietary research from 2024 supports this strategic direction, revealing that nearly 75% of cardholders report feeling their best when engaging in their passions, such as culinary exploration or cultural immersion. Additionally, two-thirds are becoming more intentional with their time, focusing on significant relationships. This trend is particularly pronounced among the top 30% of earners, who, according to Mastercard’s internal data from 2023, spend more than twice the average cardholder. Mastercard continues to expand its benefit offerings to meet these evolving consumer needs. More information on The Mastercard Collection is available at mastercard.com/globalconsumercredit.
