J.P. Morgan has introduced an expanded suite of fixed income features on its Self-Directed Investing platform, accessible via the Chase mobile app and Chase.com. The enhancements are designed to simplify the exploration and investment processes for corporate bonds, Treasuries, and other fixed income products for clients.
The new fixed income experience includes a Yield Comparison Table, enabling investors to quickly compare yields across various fixed income products and filter them by preferred timeframe. Customizable screeners offer new filter options for finding Treasuries, corporate bonds, municipal bonds, and brokered CDs that match specific criteria, with the ability to save these screeners for future use. Additionally, a streamlined trade ticket aims to facilitate faster and more efficient transactions, providing a quick view of yields and indicating the smallest and largest quantities of bonds available for purchase at a given price. Contextual guides are also integrated to assist investors new to fixed income.
Paul Vienick, Head of Online Investing at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, stated that fixed income investments are a critical component of a diversified portfolio, helping to manage stock market volatility and provide consistent income through regular interest payments. He highlighted the user-friendly design of the fixed income experience, noting its familiarity for stock investors and its availability on both desktop and the Chase mobile app.
This rollout aligns with J.P. Morgan’s ongoing efforts to improve the J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing platform for Chase customers. J.P. Clients also have access to J.P. Morgan’s retirement desk, which provides specialists for in-depth questions and guidance on retirement account rollovers or funding retirement brokerage accounts.
Andrea Finan, Head of J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing, affirmed the firm’s commitment to continuous innovation, stating that the new features represent initial steps in enhancing the investing experience for clients.
