Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU) has announced the introduction of proactive AI agents integrated into its QuickBooks platform, designed to automate business workflows, provide real-time insights, and improve cash flow for small and mid-market businesses.These new AI agents, embedded within the Intuit platform, aim to provide businesses with a virtual team, offering a 360-degree view of business metrics by seamlessly connecting data across multiple applications. Intuit states these agents can save businesses up to 12 hours per month, a finding from an April 2025 Intuit-commissioned survey of QuickBooks Online customers using the new AI-powered bank feed features. According to an Intuit-commissioned survey of QuickBooks Online customers using Intuit Assist as of November 2024, 78% of customers report that Intuit’s AI simplifies business operations, and 68% indicate it allows more time for business growth. These AI capabilities are also designed to work in conjunction with AI-enabled human experts, offering additional support.Sasan Goodarzi, Intuit CEO, stated that Intuit’s AI-driven expert platform is transforming how businesses operate with “first-of-its-kind agentic AI experiences.” Goodarzi emphasized that combining Intuit’s data and AI with human expertise through its integrated platform unlocks “next-level efficiencies, profitability, and growth.”The introduction of these AI agents coincides with a redesigned and personalized QuickBooks web layout. The homepage now features customizable widgets and a business feed providing real-time intelligent insights, recommendations, and summaries of tasks completed by AI agents. The platform also facilitates collaboration with human experts and integration with other Intuit products and third-party applications. A new, modern interface has also been implemented for the QuickBooks mobile app.Intuit’s new AI agents are intended to help businesses scale and manage daily tasks such as customer lead management, payment tracking, invoice sending, and book reconciliation. The platform also includes new integrated collaboration tools for business owners and accountants. The company highlights that the automation of workflows, expert collaboration, and delivery of personalized insights enable businesses to operate more efficiently.Key AI agents include:Payments Agent: Designed to optimize cash flow by accelerating payments, predicting late payments, automating invoice tracking, and managing invoices and reminders. The company states that the new AI agents combine artificial intelligence with human intelligence to support customer prosperity.The new web and mobile interfaces, integrated AI agents, human expert support, and the Customer Hub are scheduled to begin rolling out on July 1 to various QuickBooks Online products and customers in the US.
