Intuit Mailchimp, a component of Intuit’s global financial technology platform, has unveiled a suite of product innovations designed to foster profitable growth for e-commerce businesses through enhanced data connectivity, advanced automation, and omnichannel campaign capabilities. Intuit Mailchimp, known for its email marketing and automation platform, has expanded its offerings to address common challenges faced by small and mid-market online sellers, such as fragmented data, difficulty measuring return on investment (ROI), and limited marketing expertise. These new enhancements are built on the Intuit platform, aiming to help merchants achieve significant returns, with some e-commerce customers reporting up to 30x ROI from their campaigns. Diana Williams, VP of Product at Intuit Mailchimp, highlighted the pressure e-commerce marketers face to demonstrate campaign impact on revenue. She stated, “With this release, Mailchimp customers will reap the benefits of 26% more ecommerce triggers —bringing advanced data, automation, and analytics into a single platform helping businesses execute quickly, run sophisticated campaigns, and see exactly how their marketing drives ROI.” Email remains a crucial revenue driver for 69% of marketers, and the update emphasizes unified data and automation to maximize its effectiveness. The newly introduced capabilities are structured to turn data into sales, expand customer reach across multiple channels, and provide clearer insights into campaign performance. Key features include an enhanced Shopify integration, a proprietary Site Tracking Pixel, and new connections to review platforms such as Yotpo and Judge.me. These tools consolidate consented e-commerce and sentiment data, enabling marketers to create sophisticated customer segments, such as high-value buyers or at-risk customers, and power advanced automations without relying on multiple disparate systems. To expand customer reach, Mailchimp has broadened its SMS coverage across 34 new European countries, bringing the global total to 37. Additional SMS features include instant opt-in via popups and unique discount codes within SMS automations and forms, facilitating consent collection and precise tracking of sales attribution. Furthermore, a unified API for transactional messaging allows developers to trigger critical notifications while marketers maintain brand-consistent content directly within Mailchimp. For performance optimization, a revamped omnichannel marketing dashboard offers a unified view of email, SMS, automation performance, and e-commerce events. This allows marketers to monitor revenue generation, identify customer drop-off points, and allocate spending more effectively across channels. Mailchimp has also introduced new migration tools and specialized e-commerce support to simplify the transition process for businesses moving to the platform, minimizing downtime. The platform integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance execution, offering predictive analytics to identify high-value and at-risk customers, AI-powered tools for content creation and reusable templates, and a ChatGPT integration to refine and launch data-backed omnichannel campaigns across email, SMS, and automations. Mailchimp has demonstrated tangible ROI for its e-commerce users. For instance, Gruppo Terroni, a hospitality group, utilized Mailchimp’s e-commerce automations with its Shopify-connected store to re-engage lapsed wine club members. A single segmented campaign achieved a 77% open rate and a 28% click-through rate, generating $8,000 in monthly recurring revenue. Similarly, Kaylin + Kaylin Pickles, a Mailchimp customer that migrated from Klaviyo in 2025, reported doubled open rates on its first campaign, which went live in under a month. Ciarán Quilty, Senior Vice-President for International at Intuit, underscored the global nature of these innovations. “We’re giving small and mid-size businesses connected data, automation and AI that simply work together, so switching to Intuit Mailchimp isn’t just the easy choice today, it’s essential for their growth tomorrow,” he stated. E-commerce customers using Mailchimp have reported an average saving of 16 hours per week, while SMS e-commerce users saw up to 22x ROI after launching their first SMS marketing campaign. Furthermore, Mailchimp customers connecting their accounts with Shopify have observed up to a $41 return on investment for every dollar spent with Mailchimp. The new e-commerce-focused capabilities, including the Site Tracking Pixel, expanded SMS and transactional messaging, the omnichannel marketing dashboard, and enhanced migration tools, are expected to begin rolling out globally starting February 10th for eligible Mailchimp plans.
