New York-based Hebbia, an AI platform for finance, has announced its acquisition of FlashDocs, a company specializing in generative AI slide deck creation. This strategic move expands Hebbia’s platform beyond information retrieval and agentic workflows to include robust content generation capabilities, aiming to further streamline financial workflows.

FlashDocs, founded in 2024 by Morten Bruun and Adam Khakhar, developed technology that transforms large language model (LLM) prompts or structured data into enterprise-quality presentations in seconds. The company currently automates the creation of over 10,000 slides daily for various AI and enterprise clients. Following the acquisition, the FlashDocs team will lead Hebbia’s API business and artifact generation initiatives.

According to Morten Bruun, CEO and co-founder of FlashDocs, joining Hebbia allows them to offer a comprehensive AI platform for analysis, iteration, and content creation within a single environment. Adam Khakhar, CTO and co-founder of FlashDocs, emphasized that this integration enables Hebbia to not only surface insights but also generate critical financial outputs such as investment memos, board decks, and diligence summaries. He highlighted that it also expands Hebbia’s reach through new API capabilities that can power downstream workflows across financial enterprises.

Presentation creation remains a labor-intensive process in finance, consulting, and strategy. Hebbia aims to address this by automating what previously took hours of formatting and design, converting structured reasoning into branded, client-ready artifacts like memos, reports, or slide decks within seconds. George Sivulka, CEO and founder of Hebbia, stated that automating artifact generation is a key step in building an AI platform capable of automating end-to-end workflows and realizing AI’s full potential beyond traditional chatbots.

Hebbia, founded in 2020, has developed a generative AI platform used by professionals in finance, legal, and consulting sectors. Its technology automates processes such as due diligence, M&A analysis, and contract review. The company’s customer base includes organizations like KKR, MetLife, and the U.S. Air Force. Hebbia recently secured $130 million in funding from a16z.
