HCLTech has formalized a strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) aimed at accelerating innovation within the financial services sector through the development and deployment of autonomous, AI-powered solutions.
Srinivasan Seshadri, Chief Growth Officer and Global Head of Financial Services at HCLTech, emphasized the strategic importance of digital transformation for financial institutions. He noted that these organizations frequently contend with legacy infrastructure, fragmented data, and intricate regulatory demands while simultaneously needing to modernize systems, enhance customer experiences, and meet sustainability objectives. The collaboration with AWS is designed to address these issues by offering validated solutions and specialized expertise tailored for the financial services industry, facilitating a shift towards autonomous operations.
As part of this agreement, HCLTech plans to introduce a suite of pre-built, industry-compliant solutions. These solutions are intended to modernize contact centers, improve digital engagement, and streamline core platforms across the Banking, Wealth, and Insurance sectors. HCLTech will also offer strategic consulting services to institutional clients, with forthcoming solutions in Wealth and Banking leveraging AWS technology to support the delivery of autonomous financial services on a large scale.
Vikram Dewan, CIO at Jefferies, commented on the value of their existing relationship with HCLTech and AWS. He stated that the collaboration fosters agility and innovation, supporting Jefferies in modernizing its core financial platforms and maximizing the benefits of cloud and AI technologies.
