Grata Expands Private Market Intelligence Platform to Europe and Australia

Grata, an AI-native private market intelligence platform and a business unit of Datasite, has expanded its services into the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Australia. This expansion aims to provide dealmakers in these regions with comprehensive private market intelligence and deal sourcing solutions for enhanced market visibility.

This strategic move follows Datasite’s recent acquisition of Grata and is part of Datasite’s broader $500 million investment commitment to grow its intelligence solutions, both organically and through acquisitions. Datasite operates as a global SaaS provider of AI-powered workflow collaboration and automation solutions tailored for M&A, investment, and strategic projects.

Rusty Wiley, President and Chief Executive Officer of Datasite, stated, “We continue to invest to help knowledge workers, including dealmakers, work faster and smarter, from initial target identification and due diligence to deal execution and close.” Andrew Bocskocsky, General Manager and Co-Founder of Grata, further commented on the expansion, emphasizing the need for robust tools in private markets. He added that leveraging Datasite’s global infrastructure, which includes over 500 employees in the EMEA region, enables Grata to deliver AI-powered insights where demand for private market data is increasing.

The global private markets are projected to reach nearly $30 trillion by 2033. Grata’s platform is designed to address this growing market by offering comprehensive, accurate, and searchable data on private companies, integrated with dealmaking workflows.

Mark Williams, Global Chief Revenue Officer at Datasite, highlighted the limitations of fragmented data tools. “Too often, organizations are forced to piece together partial information from tools that either have limited coverage or can only offer a narrow slice of the data needed for confident decision-making,” Williams noted. He explained that Grata, combined with anonymized and aggregated insights from Datasite—which facilitates over 55,000 projects annually—provides dealmakers with essential visibility across companies, deals, financials, contacts, and conferences.

This expansion aligns with Datasite’s recent strategic initiatives, including the acquisition of Sherpany, a Zurich-based board reporting and meeting management software provider, and the acquisition of key businesses of Ansarada, a virtual data room provider with operations in Australia and New Zealand.
