(NYSE: FI), a global provider of payments and financial services technology, has completed its acquisition of the remaining 49.9% of AIB Merchant Services (AIBMS), its long-standing joint venture with AIB Group. This acquisition is set to support Fiserv’s growth strategy within the broader European market and expand opportunities for its Clover point-of-sale system across the region.

AIBMS operates as a prominent payment solution provider in Ireland and ranks among Europe’s largest e-commerce acquirers. The full integration of AIBMS into Fiserv is expected to streamline operations and enhance service offerings in key European markets.

As part of the transaction, AIB Group will continue its partnership with Fiserv by exclusively referring businesses in need of card acquiring services to the company. This arrangement maintains a strategic collaboration between the two entities following the acquisition.
