Fairmarkit, a provider of an AI-powered autonomous sourcing and procurement platform, has been recognized in three recent Gartner research notes, highlighting its role in the evolving landscape of AI-driven procurement.
The Gartner reports, titled “How AI‑Enabled Machine Buyers Will Transform Procurement,” “Source-to-Pay Agentic AI Use Cases,” and “Innovation Spectrum: Agentic AI Leadership Requires Adaptive, Explainable & Collaborative Capabilities,” analyze the growing influence of AI agents in procurement and the critical distinctions necessary for AI companies in the era of agentic AI.
Victor Kushch, Co‑Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Fairmarkit, noted that major corporations have transformed their procurement processes over the past year by implementing AI agents to streamline strategic and tactical sourcing. He stated, “We’re seeing game‑changing results: faster cycle times, improved supplier diversity and measurable savings. It’s about reimagining procurement as an orchestrated system of people and AI working together.”
Fairmarkit’s autonomous sourcing platform is designed for “adaptive RFx,” integrating RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes into a unified workflow. This is achieved through AI agents and a multi-model AI network that customizes to individual customer requirements. The platform enables team members to collaborate with AI agents for improved decision-making, supplier data analysis, workflow automation, and management of various sourcing events. This approach shifts procurement from reactive tasks to a more strategic, forward-looking function by proactively interpreting data and initiating actions.
Shane Hetrick, Fairmarkit’s Vice president of Product, elaborated on the company’s strategic direction. He explained that Fairmarkit’s roadmap focuses on a suite of dynamic AI agents capable of managing both strategic and tactical spend, overseeing the entire sourcing lifecycle from demand to award. Hetrick reported that some customers have executed over 150,000 events with no human intervention in the past year, while human-in-the-loop modules provide control where needed, fundamentally altering procurement team operations.
As enterprise procurement teams advance from AI experimentation to full-scale implementation, Fairmarkit continues to collaborate with large global companies on agentic development and change management initiatives.
