Experian has launched the high-yield Experian Smart Money Digital Savings Account, designed to help consumers earn faster with variable Annual Percentage Yields (APYs) up to 4.00%. This rate is nearly ten times the national average savings rate, which stood at 0.39% as of December 15, 2025.

Built into Experian memberships, the new digital savings account offers competitive interest rates that compound daily. It requires no minimum deposit or direct deposit, aiming to assist consumers in growing their wealth, managing budgets, and building emergency savings. Experian research indicates that saving more is a top New Year’s resolution for consumers.

The account also features a “Round Up” option. Experian members who have both an Experian Smart Money Digital Checking Account and Digital Savings Account, along with an eligible paid membership, can opt to have their debit card purchases rounded up to the nearest dollar. The spare change is then transferred to their Experian Smart Money Digital Savings Account, automating the saving process with each transaction.

Sean Healey, General Manager of Digital Products, Experian Consumer Services, stated that the initiative aims to make saving effortless for individuals to reach their financial goals more quickly. He added that Experian is dedicated to providing smarter money management solutions as a financial co-pilot, offering additional opportunities for members to build a financial cushion.

Beyond the savings account, an Experian membership provides access to an Experian credit report, auto insurance comparison services, a credit card marketplace, dark web monitoring, and credit monitoring. Members also have access to a 24/7 AI-powered virtual assistant that offers personalized educational information and money management tools based on their Experian credit profile.

Experian is a global data and technology company with its corporate headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, and a team of 25,200 people across 33 countries. The Experian Smart Money Debit Card is issued by Community Federal Savings Bank (CFSB) pursuant to a license from Mastercard International, with banking services provided by CFSB, Member FDIC. Experian operates as a Program Manager.
