Aussie fintech DASH Technology Group, a provider of software solutions for financial advisers, has appointed Glenn Poynton as its new CEO, effective August 13, 2026. Poynton, a former Macquarie Group executive, succeeds Andrew Whelan, who departed the company in May.
Poynton brings three decades of experience in fintech and wealth management to his new role. He most recently served as executive director of corporate development at investment manager Betashares. His prior career also includes a tenure as chief strategy officer at fintech Class, along with nine years at Macquarie Group in various senior capacities, including division director of wealth product strategy. Additionally, he spent eight years at Macquarie Bank, where he focused on trading, market-making, and back-office management initiatives.
Andrew Whelan had led DASH Technology Group, which offers integrated financial planning software and an investment platform, since 2021. During his leadership, the company secured multiple investments from Sydney venture capital firm Bailador Technology Investments and completed its 2025 acquisition of Integrated Portfolio Solutions.
