Cytora Partners with Octave Specialty Group to Enhance MGA Launch and Operations with AI Risk Processing

Cytora, an AI-powered risk processing platform for commercial insurers, has announced a strategic partnership with Octave Specialty Group, a specialty insurance platform, to support the launch and operation of new Managing General Agency (MGA) businesses.

The collaboration will enable Octave to utilize Cytora’s configurable, AI-driven risk processing and workflow automation capabilities. This integration aims to provide operational infrastructure for new MGA launches, reduce time-to-market through pre-configured digital insurance stacks, and support risk processing across Octave’s portfolio.

Specifically, Cytora’s platform will assist Octave in digitizing incoming risks, enriching submissions with external data sources, evaluating information against underwriting rules, including appetite and priority criteria, and routing risks into downstream systems for automated or manual underwriting.

Randy Paez, Chief Information Officer at Octave, commented on the partnership, stating, “Data is a foundational element of specialty insurance, and coupling it with AI is changing how we build and scale MGAs. Cytora gives us the front end of the AI-driven stack that turns unstructured submissions into decision-ready risk, compresses time-to-market for every MGA we launch, and enables us to further scale our operations.”

Juan de Castro, Chief Commercial Officer at Cytora, added, “Octave is one of the industry leaders in embracing new technology to transform its business operations and enhance the experience of its partners and customers. We are delighted to be part of this journey and look forward to supporting Octave as it continues to develop one of the world’s most advanced MGA ecosystems.”

This partnership highlights the increasing adoption of AI-driven risk processing and workflow automation within the specialty insurance sector. Both insurers and MGAs are seeking to enhance operational efficiency and establish scalable underwriting models through technology.
