CrowdStrike has announced that its AI-powered security solution, Charlotte AI, has attained Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High Authorization, making it available to federal, state, and local government agencies through the Falcon platform in GovCloud.
This authorization positions CrowdStrike to enhance public sector defense by automating tasks often performed by human analysts, thereby transforming security operations for the AI era. Michael Sentonas, president of CrowdStrike, emphasized the significance, stating, “Government agencies face some of the most advanced cyber threats in the world and demand the highest level of protection. By bringing Charlotte AI to GovCloud, security teams can automate high-impact workflows with the expertise of the industry’s best SOC operators, stopping sophisticated threats at the speed of AI with precision and control.”
The public sector faces persistent cyberattacks, with adversaries increasingly leveraging AI to accelerate threat chains. Charlotte AI, trained on years of real-world decisions from CrowdStrike Falcon Complete and incident response engagements, functions like an elite security analyst at machine speed, always under human control. This capability shifts the advantage to defenders, streamlining high-friction tasks and allowing analysts to focus on strategic security decisions.
Initial Charlotte AI capabilities now accessible within GovCloud via the FedRAMP-authorized Falcon platform include the Detection Triage Agent, which triages security detections with over 98% accuracy. This agent is designed to eliminate more than 40 hours of manual work per week on average, scaling Security Operations Center (SOC) operations and accelerating responses to critical threats. Additionally, Charlotte AI Actions in Falcon Fusion SOAR provide a drag-and-drop interface for analysts to integrate AI reasoning into playbooks, facilitating tasks such as determining device containment based on company policies and generating tailored communications for various stakeholders, with automatic translation for global reach.
The FedRAMP High Authorization confirms that Charlotte AI adheres to FedRAMP’s stringent security and compliance benchmarks. This ensures data confidentiality, integrity, and availability for mission-critical operations within the U.
