CMG Financial, a mortgage banking firm operating across the US, has adopted Toronto-based fintech Fisent’s flagship automation platform, BizAI, to streamline its mortgage lending processes through AI-powered automation.
CMG Financial selected Fisent’s BizAI platform to enhance efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making with increased speed. Mark Hansen, SVP of product at CMG Financial, stated that the integration aims to “enhance efficiency and make better, data-driven decisions with unprecedented speed.”
BizAI integrates with CMG Financial’s existing mortgage processing infrastructure via its REST-based API gateway. The platform utilizes an Intelligent Actions Library, offering pre-built automation capabilities specifically tailored for mortgage workflows. A key component is its GenAI Efficacy Framework, which employs large language models (LLMs) to automatically split, classify, extract, verify, and analyze documents throughout the underwriting process. Paul Akinmade, chief strategy officer at CMG Financial, commented that the technology is “helping us establish efficiencies in mortgage processing workflows that drive down our cost to produce.”
Founded in 1993, CMG Financial is a US-based mortgage banking firm. It provides retail, wholesale, and correspondent lending services, originating residential mortgages through direct consumer lending, partnerships with mortgage brokers, and relationships with community banks and credit unions.
Last year, the mortgage lender closed over $20.8 billion in retail volume, marking its highest annual production to date. This growth was supported by its seven-year agreement with loan servicing fintech Sagent for its LoanServ, CARE, and DataScape solutions, established in March, alongside the adoption of FICO’s predictive scoring model, Score 10 T, in July.
