ACA Group (ACA) has launched Encore AI for Marketing Review, an artificial intelligence-powered enhancement integrated into its existing ComplianceAlpha® Marketing Review module, designed to streamline marketing material reviews for financial services firms.
The new capability aims to assist firms in accelerating review processes, reducing manual effort, and enhancing regulatory oversight, while ensuring transparency, auditability, and human control. This development comes as financial institutions navigate an increased volume of content production across various channels and face heightened regulatory scrutiny from bodies such as the SEC and FINRA. Compliance teams are tasked with enforcing updated guidelines under evolving regulatory requirements, making traditional manual review processes increasingly challenging due to the scale and complexity of modern marketing activities.
ACA’s Marketing Review module currently supports marketing and financial promotion reviews at scale, having served nearly 1,300 clients, processed over 143,000 submissions, and reviewed approximately 8.9 million pages of content. Encore AI for Marketing Review builds upon this foundation by integrating purpose-built AI to augment compliance expertise. Embedded directly within the ComplianceAlpha Marketing Review workflow, Encore AI aids in identifying potentially non-compliant language, missing disclosures, and inconsistencies across marketing materials. The system maintains full visibility into the review rationale and human oversight throughout the process.
The solution targets compliance, legal, and marketing review teams at firms regulated by the SEC and FINRA, including registered investment advisers, private funds, broker-dealers, and other regulated financial institutions. Encore AI can function independently or be combined with ACA’s Marketing Review Managed Services, allowing firms to customize their review process based on internal workflows, risk profiles, and regulatory needs. ACA plans to expand support for additional regulatory jurisdictions as part of the broader ComplianceAlpha roadmap. ACA Foreside, ACA’s fund launch and compliance division, and its broker-dealers, are noted as active filers with FINRA, contributing regulatory insight and operational scale to the design of these marketing review solutions.
Key capabilities of Encore AI for Marketing Review include AI-assisted review of PDFs and Microsoft Office documents to identify potential compliance risks, smart tagging and prioritization of higher-risk content, structured annotations with regulatory context and rationale, and audit-ready reporting with a traceable review history for examinations and internal governance. The system also offers flexible use for both compliance teams and marketing content creators within the review workflow, with planned support for audio and visual marketing content in the future.
Jody Kochansky, Head of Product and Engineering at ACA Group, stated, “In a fast-moving marketing environment, where scrutiny is increasing and content is multiplying, accuracy and governance matter more than speed alone. Encore AI for Marketing Review is purpose-built for compliance teams, combining explainable, auditable AI with the regulatory expertise that underpins ACA’s technology. By embedding AI into the marketing review workflow, we’re helping firms strengthen oversight, surface risk earlier, and maintain human judgment at every step.”
Patrick Olson, CEO of ACA Group, commented on the release, “The release of Encore AI for Marketing Review reflects our continued investment in ACA’s technology foundation. With our Quality Engineering Center of Excellence, we’ve established the governance and engineering discipline needed to deliver consistent, high-quality product outcomes. By embedding quality earlier in the development lifecycle and scaling automation across our platforms, we’re improving stability, performance, and predictability, delivering enhancements like Encore AI with the rigor and reliability our clients expect.”
