Cashmere, a platform focused on investments in private companies, has collaborated with SoFi, a digital financial services company, to launch “Culture & Capital,” a new podcast aimed at demystifying private markets and empowering early-stage investors.
Hosted by Katie Perry, a veteran podcast host, marketing leader, and strategic advisor to Cashmere, “Culture & Capital” will feature in-depth interviews and practical advice. The program aims to explore the world of early-stage investing through discussions with founders, operators, and industry leaders, moving beyond public equities and cryptocurrency.
The first three episodes, released today, feature guests such as Jenna Lyons, Executive Creative Director at FundamentalCo, and Jonny Bauer, brand strategist and co-founder at FundamentalCo, who discuss the role of purpose, brand, and culture in driving long-term value for early-stage investors and operators. Additional guests include Matt Higgins, a guest investor on Shark Tank and CEO of RSE Ventures, and Andrew Benin, CEO and co-founder of Graza.
Lauren Stafford Webb, CMO at SoFi, stated that the podcast is designed to make investing more approachable, relatable, and actionable, hoping to inspire listeners to explore new investment avenues. Elia Infascelli, CEO of Cashmere, added that the podcast reflects the belief that investing encompasses ideas, identity, and influence, particularly as more individuals gain access to alternatives, private markets, and emerging cultural assets.
The launch of “Culture & Capital” follows a prior announcement from Cashmere and SoFi regarding the expansion of SoFi Invest’s alternative investment offerings to include The Cashmere Fund. Through this partnership, SoFi members can invest in early-stage companies via The Cashmere Fund, which provides professionally managed access with accessible minimums through the SoFi app.
