Daylight Security has emerged from stealth to introduce a new class of managed security services, combining advanced AI with cyber analysts to address evolving cyber threats. Concurrently, the company announced a $7 million seed funding round to support its global expansion and platform development.

Daylight’s approach focuses on empowering organizations to detect, investigate, and respond to threats more rapidly without requiring an expansion of internal teams. The company offers advanced Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services that integrate autonomous AI agents, capable of context-aware investigations and data analysis, with seasoned human analysts. This hybrid model aims to facilitate real-time responses to cyberattacks, reducing alert fatigue, accelerating resolution times, and minimizing business disruption. Six months post-founding, Daylight is already serving multiple clients within the finance and technology sectors.

The $7 million seed round was led by Bain Capital Ventures, with additional participation from Maple VC and a group of angel investors. Notable angel investors include Ofer Smadari, Leonid Belkind, and Eldad Livni, co-founders of Torq; Tamar Bar-Ilan and Yotam Segev, co-founders of Cyera; and Ofir Ehrlich, founder of EON. The capital infusion is earmarked to fuel Daylight’s global market entry, expedite platform advancements, and support key hires for its engineering and go-to-market teams.

Founded by Hagai Shapira, who serves as CEO, and Eldad Rudich, both are alumni of elite Israeli intelligence units with extensive backgrounds in cybersecurity technology innovation. Shapira was Torq’s first product manager, while Rudich, Torq’s first employee, led the company’s development efforts and built complex automation systems. Their shared experience highlighted the increasing demand for intelligent automation in Security Operations Centers (SOCs), alongside the understanding that AI, while efficient, complements rather than replaces the critical insight of human experts. Daylight’s current team comprises approximately 20 members spread across offices in Tel Aviv, New York, and Singapore.

The broader managed cybersecurity services sector, specifically the MDR market, is projected to surpass $15 billion USD by 2030. This growth is driven by the increasing complexity of cyberattacks and adversaries leveraging automation. Traditional MDR offerings often present challenges such as intricate implementation, partial coverage, and reliance on manual processes, leading to delayed responses and alert overload for security teams. Daylight positions its platform as a solution to these limitations, offering a comprehensive approach that integrates AI-driven automation with expert analyst services.

Daylight’s platform is designed for rapid deployment, capable of integration within an hour and seamless compatibility with existing infrastructures, including cloud and on-premises systems. Operating continuously 24/7, it provides capabilities beyond basic alert triage, encompassing analysis, verification, and incident response. The system contextualizes alerts within the business environment, learns organizational landscapes, and identifies anomalies, contributing to a significant reduction in false positives. Customers have reported an approximate 80% reduction in Mean Time To Resolve (MTTR), alongside enhanced coverage and improved capacity to manage complex attacks, all achieved without expanding their existing security teams.

Hagai Shapira stated, “Modern cyber threats evolve at lightning speed, and traditional MDRs simply can’t keep up. Daylight goes beyond simple alert triage to deliver full-spectrum threat detection and resolution, combining advanced AI with expert human analysts for faster, more reliable outcomes. The security services market is undergoing a revolution, and Daylight is leading the way by bringing agentic AI innovation to one of the last frontiers untouched by this technology.”

Enrique Salem, a partner at Bain Capital Ventures, commented, “Daylight is redefining what managed security services can look like in the age of AI. Hagai and Eldad bring a rare combination of deep technical experience and real-world insight from the SOC frontlines. We’re proud to back Daylight as they set a new standard for MDR—one that’s automated, scalable and built for the cloud-first enterprise.”

Daylight Security provides agentic security services designed to allow organizations to operate without the need for traditional Security Operations Centers (SOCs). The company delivers AI-powered, human-led MDR services built for modern environments, aiming to help enterprises reduce false positives, increase coverage, and enhance their defenses.
