Mitchell Insurance Agency, a family-owned business, maintains client relationships in both commercial and personal lines within the California market. This acquisition represents COVU’s sixth under its “Rolling Thunder” campaign, contributing to its strategy of enhancing its AI-native platform through partnerships with established agencies to increase scale, reach, and operational flexibility.
Ali Safavi, CEO of COVU, stated that Mitchell Insurance Agency’s established customer base and carrier relationships align with COVU’s platform. He indicated that the intent is to support and elevate existing operations by leveraging COVU’s infrastructure and tools.
Mitchell Insurance Agency, founded in Roseville, CA, is recognized for its personalized service, experienced staff, and collaborations with carriers such as Mercury and Safeco. The agency features a mix of personal and commercial lines clients and a 113% revenue retention rate, contributing to COVU’s expanding presence in California. Its consistent revenue and customer loyalty are considered suitable for integration into COVU’s remote-first, AI-supported model, which aims for operational efficiency while maintaining client engagement.
This acquisition reinforces COVU’s objective to enable agency partners to modernize and expand, or manage their exit strategies. The COVU platform is designed to support both outcomes, while maintaining customer experience, staff opportunities, and carrier continuity. Safavi further commented that the platform is built to respect key agency attributes such as relationships, reputation, and client care. He added that the acquisition deepens COVU’s commitment to California and demonstrates that an AI-native approach aims to prepare agencies for the future.
