Wayflyer Secures $1.5 Billion Forward-Flow Agreement with Fortress Investment Group for Small Business Lending Expansion. Irish lending technology firm Wayflyer announced on August 3, 2026, a three-year forward-flow agreement with New York-based Fortress Investment Group, aiming to deploy $4.5 billion in small business loans by 2028. Under the terms of the deal, Fortress Investment Group will purchase up to $1.5 billion in small business credit assets originated through the Wayflyer platform. This agreement is designed to support Wayflyer’s ambitious target of deploying $4.5 billion in working capital to small businesses over the next three years. Wayflyer’s platform utilizes sales data to underwrite short-term loans specifically for online retail brands. Since its launch in 2020, the company has deployed over $6 billion in working capital to businesses. Aidan Corbett, CEO and co-founder of Wayflyer, stated that the forward-flow facility provides “committed, reliable capital to put to work for our small business customers, while letting us manage our own balance sheet far more efficiently.” Wayflyer expects the agreement with Fortress to unlock the value of its loans upfront, freeing up capital for further small business funding and investment in product development. Wayflyer was co-founded by Corbett and former CFO Jack Pierse, achieving a $1.6 billion valuation in 2022 following a $150 million Series B funding round. Current investors include DST Global, QED Investors, Left Lane Capital, Prosus, Madrone Capital Partners, JP Morgan, and ATLAS SP Partners, the latter of which also arranged a separate $250 million credit facility for Wayflyer in February.
