Schindler, a leading global provider of urban mobility solutions, has selected Navan, an AI-powered business travel and expense management platform, to modernize its global travel program. The partnership aims to unify Schindler’s travel operations, moving away from a previously fragmented online booking model.
Initially, Navan will be deployed across North America and Europe, covering operations in Canada, the United States, France, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Schindler’s decision addresses the challenge of managing travel across multiple disparate systems, which led to a significant percentage of bookings occurring outside official channels.
Luca Mancuso, Global Category Manager at Schindler, stated, “Because we were managing travel across multiple fragmented systems, a high percentage of bookings occurred outside of our official channels. We will finally have real-time visibility into our global travel spend, and we expect to reduce costs simply by providing a central tool, with competitive prices, that our employees actually want to use.”
Navan anticipates several key benefits for Schindler, including an estimated 11% reduction in costs through the elimination of hidden fees and access to Navan’s comprehensive inventory. Additionally, a 95% adoption rate is projected, attributed to the platform’s user experience.
