Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC), one of the largest dental service organizations in the United States, has deployed VideaAI, the dental AI platform from VideaHealth, across more than 210 of its practices. The enterprise-wide implementation was completed in two weeks, making it one of VideaHealth’s fastest rollouts to date.
GEDC selected VideaHealth as a long-term AI partner to support its doctors with integrated, system-level intelligence amidst rising margin pressures and increasing clinical complexity. This partnership aligns with GEDC’s commitment to establishing a scalable, clinician-led care model designed to enhance access, consistency, and patient trust throughout its extensive, multi-specialty organization.
The deployment involved a deep integration with GEDC’s custom practice management system, Trinity, and its existing imaging environment. The successful launch of Clinical Assist lays the groundwork for future expansions of VideaAI capabilities, including Daily Dashboard and Insights. These tools are designed to facilitate clearer visual explanations for patients, promote stronger clinical consistency across the network, and streamline workflows for clinicians and their teams, all while supporting rather than replacing clinical judgment.
Florian Hillen, founder and CEO of VideaHealth, commented on the collaboration, stating, “GEDC is a clinically led organization with a clear commitment to supporting its doctors and teams at scale. What we hear across dentistry is consistent with GEDC’s approach: clinicians want AI that supports their judgment, helps drive efficiency, and strengthens the conversations that build patient trust. We’re proud to partner with GEDC as they expand an integrated platform that empowers clinicians and makes patient communication clearer across their network.”
Dr. Jessica Buehler, DDS, President and Chief Clinical Officer of Great Expressions Dental Centers, highlighted the patient-centric benefits. “Our focus is to scale patient-first care in a way that supports our clinicians and strengthens trust at every visit,” Dr. Buehler said. “VideaAI helps our teams deliver more consistent care and communicate findings more clearly so patients better understand recommended treatment. By investing in an integrated platform rather than disconnected point solutions, we can reduce friction for clinicians and staff while continuing to expand access to high-quality care across our network.”
For dental service organizations, challenges such as stagnant reimbursements, escalating costs, and the necessity for judicious innovation are prevalent. GEDC’s strategy focuses on scalable solutions that mitigate additional operational burdens. Beyond supporting clinical teams, this partnership also aims to reduce friction across the broader care ecosystem, including facilitating clearer communication and more streamlined interactions with payers.
VideaHealth’s AI platform is currently deployed across dental service organizations representing over 80% of the 10 largest dental networks in North America. The FDA-cleared AI analyzes more than 500 million X-rays annually and is utilized by over 90,000 clinicians across more than 60 leading DSOs.
