Veridas, a global provider of identity verification and biometric solutions, has announced the availability of its Identity Verification (IDV) platform on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace, broadening access to its fraud prevention capabilities for AWS customers worldwide. This move aims to make secure digital trust readily accessible to a wider enterprise audience.
Amid a reported increase in identity fraud, including threats from synthetic identities, deepfakes, and injection attacks, Veridas’ platform offers a cloud-native solution. It combines facial biometrics, AI-driven document authentication, and certified liveness detection to protect enterprises from fraud while enabling efficient digital onboarding processes.
Eduardo Azanza, CEO of Veridas, commented on the development, stating that the IDV platform, operational since 2017, already safeguards over 300 clients across 25 countries against sophisticated fraud. He highlighted the platform’s 100% proprietary technology, global coverage, and international compliance. Azanza noted that its availability on AWS Marketplace marks a new phase, allowing companies globally to activate advanced anti-fraud technology rapidly.
The integration with AWS Marketplace facilitates easier adoption and integration for organizations seeking identity verification solutions. Businesses can benefit from streamlined procurement, accelerated deployment, and cost alignment with existing AWS agreements, all while leveraging AWS’s global infrastructure.
Veridas’ platform is designed for global scalability and is utilized by more than 300 organizations in 25 countries, including financial institutions and telecommunication companies such as BBVA, Scotiabank, Deutsche Telekom, and Masorange. The platform has processed over 500 million identity verifications to date.
Veridas’ IDV platform focuses on four key areas. First, it provides advanced end-to-end fraud defense against schemes like deepfakes, injection attacks, and synthetic identities. Second, it ensures compliance and data privacy, aligning with global KYC and AML standards. All biometric and personal data are processed under regulations such as GDPR, BIPA, CCPA, LFPDPPP, MBPA, AIA, and DCCPA, and hosted in certified global infrastructure. Third, the platform aims for a seamless user experience, offering fast and secure digital onboarding through document capture, selfie comparison, and certified liveness detection. Lastly, the proprietary biometric and document analysis technology has undergone rigorous third-party evaluations by NIST and iBeta, achieving PAD ISO 30107-3 certification at Levels 1 and 2.
