UKG and Google Cloud have significantly expanded their partnership, with UKG selecting Google Cloud as its primary provider for AI and data analytics to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI across its HR, pay, and workforce management solutions.
This collaboration aims to leverage Gemini Enterprise, Gemini models, and BigQuery to enhance UKG Bryte AI agents within UKG’s Workforce Operating Platform. The objective is to help organizations achieve more productive, efficient, and flexible operations through a modern employee experience, driven by advanced workforce data analysis.
Jennifer Morgan, CEO of UKG, stated, “Our expanded partnership with Google Cloud builds on the power of UKG’s Workforce Operating Platform, to bring customers a broad range of solutions that drive efficiency and deliver insights that help leaders focus on what matters, their workforce and their business. Together, UKG and Google Cloud are helping organizations unlock the full capacity of their workforce.”
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, added, “Through our expanded strategic partnership with UKG, we will help organizations use Gemini Enterprise and our AI to leverage workplace data insights in new and more meaningful ways. Our work together will allow businesses to build and deploy sophisticated AI-powered applications that optimize workflows and improve employee experiences.”
UKG solutions, utilized by 80,000 organizations in 150 countries, will integrate Google Cloud’s AI technologies to enhance and expedite the delivery of AI agents for customers. These new agents are designed to offer 24/7 employee assistance for common workplace needs like checking schedules, swapping shifts, and obtaining real-time information on pay or benefits. Managers will benefit from agents that simplify workforce planning and manage complex data analysis, freeing up time for high-impact work and business strategy. Additionally, new agents will optimize critical backend processes for HR and system administrators, handling compliance tracking, streamlining payroll, and generating detailed reports to reduce manual effort and ensure data accuracy.
These AI agents will be available directly within UKG’s HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions, as well as through Gemini Enterprise, providing deployment flexibility. Crucially, the agents will support the Agent2Agent (A2A) interoperability protocol, enabling seamless communication with other A2A agents regardless of the provider, which aims to unify work environments and future-proof agentic AI investments.
UKG will also be among the first organizations to implement Gemini Enterprise internally, providing its global workforce—across sales, software engineering, and customer support—with centralized agentic AI and enterprise search capabilities. This will grant instant access to information like software documentation and customer service case histories, and allow employees to build custom agents for workflow automation, such as client call preparation.
Future plans include integrating Gemini Enterprise with UKG’s HR, payroll, and workforce solutions for customers, supporting agent development and efficiency, and enabling easier access to insights and task automation via natural-language commands.
Google’s Gemini models will be further integrated into UKG Bryte AI to expand its capabilities, offering intuitive self-service tools for employees and a more powerful Workforce Operating Platform for leaders. For example, managers will be able to use conversational AI to request analysis of team overtime trends and receive actionable recommendations to reduce burnout risk.
For data analytics, UKG will leverage BigQuery and AlloyDB to offer customers unified, real-time access to workforce data through secure, zero-copy integration. This allows organizations to generate deeper insights by analyzing UKG People Fabric data in conjunction with other enterprise data sets, facilitating the development of custom AI applications correlating workforce trends with business outcomes. This unified data foundation also powers the user experience in Gemini Enterprise, providing a single point for connecting, viewing, and searching enterprise data.
To ensure customer success, UKG and Google Cloud are launching a joint go-to-market strategy, providing businesses with a seamless experience from evaluation to implementation and support. UKG will also launch its global AI platform, which unifies HR, payroll, and workforce management, on Google Cloud Marketplace. This will offer customers a simplified procurement path and enable them to leverage existing Google Cloud commitments.
Google will expand its internal use of UKG Pro for payroll and global workforce management, incorporating Bryte AI-powered features for productivity and workforce insights in multi-country payroll, employee scheduling, and long-term planning.
UKG plans to launch UKG Pro Workforce Management on Google Cloud Marketplace this fall. New integrations across BigQuery and agents are anticipated to be available in 2026.
