Ualett, a bilingual fintech platform serving gig economy workers across the United States, is commemorating its seventh anniversary with significant operational expansions. These include a new collaboration with Foundever, a global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry, establishing a bilingual operational hub in Bogotá, Colombia, and initiating a hiring campaign in the Dominican Republic.
Founded in 2018 by a Dominican-led team, Ualett has grown from grassroots efforts to a national fintech brand. The platform offers flexible capital access to gig workers, independent of traditional credit scores or lending models. In 2023, Ualett processed over 12,000 cash advances monthly, averaging 400 per day. This momentum has accelerated in 2024, with over 19,000 advances processed monthly, reflecting increased platform usage and customer trust. The company currently serves over 400,000 users.
Ricky Michel Presbot, CEO and co-founder of Ualett, stated, “Seven years ago, Ualett began with a mission to build financial tools for workers excluded by the system. This next chapter reflects both how far we’ve come and how much further we plan to go while staying true to our roots in trust, transparency, and community-led impact.”
The collaboration with Foundever in Bogotá, Colombia, provides Ualett with a strategic extension of its workforce. This operational hub is designed to scale service operations as customer demand grows in the U.
S. Foundever, which operates with 150,000 associates globally and supports over 800 brands, brings expertise in recruiting and retaining high-quality bilingual agents. This partnership aims to ensure that Ualett’s customer interactions meet its service standards by leveraging Foundever’s CX delivery capabilities and Colombia’s bilingual, tech-savvy workforce.
In the Dominican Republic, where Ualett was founded, the company is increasing its hiring efforts. Over 30 new roles are being opened across operations, customer experience, and support. This expansion aligns with Ualett’s commitment to investing in the communities that contributed to its initial development and providing economic opportunities.
Jay Millard, Ualett’s Chief Revenue Officer, commented, “This isn’t just growth, it’s growth with purpose. We’re proud to create jobs in the places that have shaped our story. Expanding in Colombia and the D.
R. allows us to serve our customers better while deepening ties with the communities that helped build Ualett from the ground up.”
