Transact + CBORD has received Ellucian’s “Verified for SaaS” badges for eight of its widely adopted Integrated Payments solutions. This verification signifies that these solutions are designed for smooth integration with Ellucian’s cloud platform, aiming to simplify adoption for colleges utilizing Ellucian Banner SaaS and accelerate their modernization efforts.
The verified solutions include ePayment, Payment Plans, Cashiering, Dynamic Bill, SmartPay, CampusPay, Transact International Payments, and Transact Exchange. These badges confirm that the Transact + CBORD solutions adhere to rigorous technical standards for integration with Banner SaaS, which helps to minimize integration complexities and provides assurances to colleges and universities regarding compatibility as they update their systems. The verification also expands vendor options for institutions in the traditionally limited landscape of higher education payment solutions.
Chris Setcos, SVP of Partnerships, M&A, and Corporate Strategy at Transact + CBORD, stated, “These badges confirm that Transact solutions operate as needed by institutions—reliably, securely, and with Banner SaaS. This addresses institutions’ requests for reduced IT team effort, tighter integrations, and more options when modernizing campus payments.”
Allison Huggins, Associate VP, Finance at Polk State College, commented on the significance of the partnership: “When migrating critical systems such as payments to the cloud, assurance that everything will function correctly is essential. The collaboration between Ellucian and Transact + CBORD has provided us with confidence that our integration would be smooth, efficient, and well-supported.”
This development marks a strategic step for higher education institutions transitioning to cloud-based systems. As SaaS adoption increases, institutions require verified, deployable integrations that can mitigate risks, accelerate implementation, and lessen IT demands, particularly for essential systems like payments. Ellucian reported a 67% year-over-year increase in Banner SaaS go-lives in 2024, highlighting the importance of ready-to-use solutions. This also reflects a broader trend in higher education IT, where modular, cloud-first solutions are replacing older, closed systems.
