Global capital markets platform Trading Technologies has announced the appointment of Sal Lombardi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately on August 12, 2026. Lombardi will report directly to CEO Justin Llewellyn-Jones.

Trading Technologies operates as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider, offering solutions across the entire trade lifecycle for various asset classes, including futures and options, foreign exchange, fixed income, and cryptocurrencies. The company is owned by Thoma Bravo and 7RIDGE.

Lombardi joins Trading Technologies from Auctane, a logistics platform and fellow Thoma Bravo portfolio company, which now operates as ShipStation Global. He served as CFO at Auctane since 2024.

His professional background also includes serving as CFO at Minnesota-based technology firm C1 and at cxLoyalty, a customer loyalty and travel rewards company. During his 22-year tenure at cxLoyalty, Lombardi began as a financial planning analyst and advanced through the ranks, ultimately becoming CFO after the company’s acquisition by JP Morgan Chase in late 2020.

Justin Llewellyn-Jones, who joined Trading Technologies at the start of 2024 as Chief Operating Officer, became CEO after a four-year tenure at Broadridge.
