STATION DC, Washington D.C.’s non-profit tech hub, has announced a strategic partnership with Vanta, an AI-powered trust management platform, to foster cross-sector collaboration aimed at addressing critical cybersecurity and compliance challenges.
The collaboration seeks to unite business leaders, government officials, and industry experts to strengthen cybersecurity and compliance frameworks within the public sector community, including both government entities and industrial base vendors.
James Barlia, Executive Director of STATION DC, stated, “Washington is fast becoming the proving ground for tech that matters. By teaming up with Vanta, we’re putting gold-standard, automated compliance and risk management within reach of everyone driving D.C.’s tech future—from startups to federal agencies—so they can stay laser-focused on mission-critical innovation while meeting the highest standards of security and responsibility.”
For Vanta, a company founded in 2018 that provides a platform relied upon by over 10,000 organizations globally to manage security and compliance in real-time, this partnership underscores its commitment to extending the benefits of AI and automation to government and public sector stakeholders.
Morgan Kaplan, Director of U.S. Government Strategy & Affairs at Vanta, commented, “D.C. is rapidly becoming one of the most unique and inventive tech communities globally because this is where innovators can address real-world policy challenges with the newest and most disruptive technology. In partnering with STATION DC, Vanta supports the entire ecosystem—from agencies safeguarding the public interest to startups advancing new technologies—so trust, security and compliance become the launchpad, not the roadblock to public-private partnership.”
The partnership aligns with Vanta’s broader commitment to public-sector readiness and leverages STATION DC’s role as a nexus connecting private-sector innovation with government priorities. Initiatives will include a series of co-sponsored events and thought leadership programs throughout the year, designed to stimulate collaboration and innovation at the intersection of cybersecurity and policy. The first joint event is scheduled to take place at STATION DC’s Union Market headquarters later in the year.
STATION DC is a 12,000-square-foot non-profit tech hub located in Union Market, dedicated to accelerating American innovation through convenings that bridge technology, policy, and capital. Vanta, with offices in Dublin, London, New York, San Francisco, and Sydney, offers a trust management platform that simplifies and centralizes security operations for organizations worldwide.
