Sectigo, a global provider of automated Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) and digital certificates, has partnered with SSS, a New Zealand-based managed security services provider (MSSP), to distribute Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM) and other CLM solutions as part of SSS’s managed services portfolio in New Zealand.
The collaboration addresses a growing demand for automated digital trust solutions, particularly in light of upcoming 47-day SSL/TLS certificate renewal deadlines, which are set to commence on March 15, 2026. This change necessitates more frequent certificate renewals, occurring every six months, for organizations globally.
The partnership aims to provide a simpler, automated, and reliable method for securing digital trust at scale, combining Sectigo’s SCM with SSS’s managed identity services. This approach is designed to counter challenges such as fragmented or legacy Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and increasing certificate sprawl faced by New Zealand organizations.
SSS, which operates from offices in Wellington and Auckland, will serve as a local distributor. Its deep PKI expertise is expected to help Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and software partners accelerate the adoption of modern PKI, thereby improving compliance, reducing operational risk, and simplifying the complexities often associated with manual certificate management.
Ray Garnie, Vice President of Sales, APAC, at Sectigo, stated, “Organizations in New Zealand are rapidly adopting cloud and zero trust architectures, and digital trust plays a critical role in that journey. By partnering with SSS, we are making Sectigo’s world-class certificate lifecycle management solutions accessible with local expertise and support, giving customers the confidence to deploy modern PKI at scale while reducing operational complexity.”
SSS, with over 30 years of experience, is trusted by central and local government agencies, as well as enterprises across New Zealand. Its proprietary managed services, including Scouter (X/MDR and SOC), RiskRadar (cyber risk management), and FortifID (managed identity), are widely utilized to protect digital environments. The integration of SCM is intended to enhance SSS’s capacity to deliver solutions aligned with zero trust and cloud transformation strategies.
Luke Taylor, Chief Executive Officer at SSS, commented, “Digital trust has become a board-level issue. Partnering with Sectigo brings a proven CLM solution together with SSS’s local expertise, so New Zealand organizations can prepare for 47-day certificates, reduce risk, and get certainty from a local managed service provider.”
Varun Desai, Head of Digital Identity at SSS, added, “Our customers want fewer moving parts and more assurance. By combining Sectigo’s certificate lifecycle management with SSS’s managed identity service, we can standardize PKI, automate renewals, and integrate with existing directories and cloud, without adding complexity.”
This collaboration is intended to provide CIOs, CISOs, IT security leaders, and channel partners in New Zealand with direct access to enterprise-grade CLM, supported by local delivery and ongoing assistance. The anticipated outcomes include simplified security operations, enhanced compliance, and greater resilience against cyber threats.
