Searchlight Cyber has partnered with TRM Labs to integrate new cryptocurrency analysis capabilities into its dark web investigation platform, aiming to enhance the ability to trace illicit funds and combat various forms of crime.
The collaboration allows users of Searchlight’s Cerberus dark web investigation platform to conduct deeper analysis when a cryptocurrency address is identified. The integration provides details on the transaction history of wallets and the ability to trace assets across the blockchain. Users also have the option to pivot into the TRM Labs platform for more extensive blockchain analysis. This aims to support investigations into dark web criminals by providing new capabilities for following the flow of illicit funds.
Searchlight’s Cerberus platform is utilized by law enforcement and government agencies to investigate individuals using the dark web for perceived anonymity. Cryptocurrency addresses found by Cerberus can serve as evidence in criminal investigations if they can be linked to an individual.
