Save A Lot, one of the largest discount grocery chains in the United States, has announced a new integration with evermore, a healthcare technology company, enabling Medicare Advantage and Medicaid members to utilize their &more Smart Benefits card at over 500 Save A Lot locations nationwide.
This partnership aims to help health plan members manage their budgets while accessing nutritious foods and over-the-counter essentials. Evermore, formerly known as Soda Health, specializes in administering Smart Benefits designed to connect individuals with necessary products and services to support healthier lives.
Jared Childs, VP of Growth at evermore, commented on the significance of the collaboration, stating, “Save A Lot plays a critical role in communities where access to other grocery options may be limited. We’re proud to partner with them to bring meaningful benefit access to the places where it’s needed most.” Save A Lot, founded in 1977, operates approximately 700 stores across 30 states, often serving rural and hard-to-reach communities with its focus on high-quality, fresh groceries at value prices.
Jennifer Hopper, Chief Digital and Information Officer at Save A Lot, also highlighted the impact of the integration. “Save A Lot is proud to help many families put affordable, nutritious food on the table every week. We understand how important it is for them to stretch their food and OTC dollars,” Hopper said. “This new integration with evermore will help us reach even more shoppers with convenient access to the products they need to support a healthy lifestyle.”
The expansion underscores evermore’s commitment to broadening access to quality healthcare resources across various communities. The company partners with payers and retailers to facilitate expansive benefits for items such as healthy foods, OTC medications, and transportation, aiming to deliver personalized benefit access at scale.
