Samsara Inc. and Allianz UK have formed a strategic partnership to expand access to advanced risk management technology for commercial fleets across the United Kingdom. This collaboration provides Allianz-insured commercial customers with preferred access to Samsara’s AI dual-facing dash cams and connected operations platform. Allianz UK’s Motor Fleet policyholders can also access exclusive discounts on Samsara’s technology through a referral program. The initiative aims to support fleets in leveraging data-driven insights to improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Gerry Ross, Head of Motor Fleet at Allianz UK, stated, “The strategic partnership between Allianz UK and Samsara was established to address the growing need for advanced risk management solutions for our policyholders. We are committed to offering innovative and effective solutions that help protect our customers by leveraging AI technology, which can assist our customers in proactively identifying and positively impacting their fleet risk.”

Samsara’s platform provides a comprehensive view of operations, designed to enable fleet managers to enhance safety through AI-powered incident detection and real-time in-cab coaching, reduce risky driving behaviors, and boost efficiency by optimizing fuel consumption and streamlining workflows to lower operational costs. Additionally, it aims to enhance sustainability by tracking emissions and supporting the transition to electric vehicles.

The platform has demonstrated benefits for joint customers, including Vp Brandon Hire Station. Antony Draper, Director of HSEQ at Vp Brandon Hire Station, commented, “Implementing the Samsara platform has significantly improved our fleet’s safety and efficiency. We have observed a 40% reduction in accident-related costs, which has directly benefited our bottom line. Our relationship with Allianz has been valuable; they acknowledge the demonstrable risk mitigation that Samsara’s technology provides. This has allowed us to improve our safety standards and reduce the cost of insurance and doing business, contributing to a competitive advantage.”

Jack Burton, EMEA Partnerships Manager at Samsara, added, “This strategic partnership with Allianz marks a significant milestone in our commitment to impacting fleet insurance practices. We have observed how our connected operations technology empowers fleets to gain enhanced insights into their operations, enabling them to improve safety and mitigate risks. Our shared success with Allianz is built on a foundation of trust and a mutual commitment to empowering our customers with the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving landscape. Together, we are helping fleets make proactive decisions that protect their assets and drive demonstrable financial benefits.”

To support the relationship, both Samsara and Allianz UK are conducting regional enablement sessions across the UK to ensure teams are equipped to articulate the value of Samsara’s offerings. This collaboration underscores both companies’ shared commitment to innovation, customer success, and providing proactive, data-driven solutions for fleet risk management.
