SageSure, a managing general underwriter specializing in catastrophe-exposed property markets, has partnered with Whisker Labs to launch an electrical fire prevention program for eligible policyholders, commencing in Louisiana.
This initiative provides free Ting sensors and associated fire prevention services, expanding SageSure’s proactive property protection solutions. The Ting plug-in sensor and its accompanying application are designed to detect electrical hazards within a home’s wiring, devices, and utility equipment. Upon identifying a hazard, the system alerts the homeowner and offers guidance for necessary repairs.

Beyond fire prevention, the Ting system also provides real-time alerts for power outages and support for frozen pipe prevention. Eligible SageSure policyholders will receive a complimentary Ting plug-in sensor, access to the Ting app, up to three years of free fire prevention service, and a $1,000 credit toward labor repair costs for Ting-identified hazards. SageSure intends to expand this program to additional states in the near future.
