Rubrik (NYSE: RBRK) has announced an expansion of its cloud data protection services, introducing upcoming support for Amazon DynamoDB and launching a dedicated cyber resilience offering for Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL. This initiative aims to enhance data security and compliance for organizations leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud databases.
The increasing volume of data exposes organizations to substantial data security gaps, heightened cyber threat risks, and stringent compliance requirements. Rubrik’s enhanced offerings are designed to help customers address these challenges, strengthening the company’s position in cloud data protection and responding directly to customer demand for high-performance, cost-effective resilience and security for mission-critical databases.

Rubrik is extending its data protection offerings to Amazon DynamoDB, AWS’s serverless, distributed NoSQL database service. This includes a single, policy-driven console that automates backup scheduling, immutability, and complex cross-account recovery processes, which are often manual and intricate.
For customers not utilizing native AWS services for all monitoring, Rubrik provides a unified dashboard to monitor and discover all DynamoDB instances across connected AWS accounts and regions. The service also enables storage-efficient, incremental-forever backups and offers flexibility to choose from a range of Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) storage classes, including S3 Standard, S3 Standard-Infrequent Access, S3 One Zone-Infrequent Access, S3 Glacier Instant Retrieval, S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval, and S3 Glacier Deep Archive, contributing to cost reduction.
Furthermore, Rubrik’s new cyber resilience offering is engineered specifically for relational databases, with initial support for Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL.
This offering ensures database backups are both unchangeable and undeletable, providing immutable protection without the need for additional vault configurations or multi-service architectures to enhance cyber resilience. For customers preferring a centralized view outside of native AWS services, the Rubrik platform is designed to provide a unified management view of RDS backup information across multiple AWS regions and accounts.
