ReposiTrak (NYSE:TRAK), a provider of food traceability and regulatory compliance solutions, has announced the addition of 31 cheese suppliers to its ReposiTrak Traceability Network® (RTN). This expansion aims to facilitate the efficient exchange of FDA-required Key Data Elements (KDEs) for Critical Tracking Events (CTEs) throughout their supply chains, addressing the increasing traceability demands from retail customers.

The new additions to the network include a specialty cheese maker with operations in Michigan and roots in Mexico, producing varieties such as Camembert, Brie, Gouda, and Edam. Additionally, Australia’s largest cheese manufacturer will leverage the ReposiTrak Traceability Network to deliver traceability data to its international grocery retail partners. These suppliers join the RTN from various global locations, including Michigan and Melbourne, to comply with current and emerging food safety regulations.

Randy Fields, chairman and CEO of ReposiTrak, stated, “Cheese and dairy suppliers are required under FSMA 204 to share traceability data, but now they’re also facing a range of additional, unique requirements from each of their retail and wholesale customers.” He added that ReposiTrak serves as a unified platform where suppliers can share traceability data with all their customers, irrespective of the complexity or variety of requirements. ReposiTrak’s U.S.-based team supports suppliers, including those without dedicated IT support, in ensuring accurate traceability data is shared.

The ReposiTrak Traceability Network operates without the need for additional hardware. Each traceability data file undergoes a 500-point error detection process. The company’s U.S.-based team collaborates with suppliers to correct any discrepancies, ensuring data completeness and accuracy before it reaches their retail, wholesale, or foodservice customers.

ReposiTrak provides retailers, suppliers, food manufacturers, and wholesalers with solutions designed to mitigate risk, maintain regulatory compliance, enhance operational controls, and improve sales through brand protection. Its offerings comprise three product families—food traceability, compliance and risk management, and supply chain solutions—all integrated cloud-based applications supported by a team of specialists.
