Rain, a provider of earned wage access (EWA) and financial health solutions, has announced a new integration with Microsoft Teams, allowing employees to view their available earned wage balance before payday directly within the communication platform. This integration positions Rain as one of the initial earned wage access providers for Microsoft Teams.
The integration is designed to enhance employee financial health by providing frontline workers with a tool to access their earned wages within the same platform they utilize daily for communication, scheduling, and connectivity.
Shohan Rahman, Rain’s VP of Channel Sales & Partnerships, stated, “Earned wage access is proving to be an essential employer-sponsored benefit offering for employees. With Microsoft Teams, one of the most widely used workplace platforms, employees can easily see their earned wage balance in a platform they engage with every day.” He also noted that this increased adoption facilitates closer collaboration with Microsoft.
Jeff Strasser, general manager for AI Business Solutions, US Retail & CPG at Microsoft, commented, “Integrating Rain’s earned wage access solution into Teams gives employers another way to empower their workers with modern, mobile-friendly tools that support their day-to-day work and overall well-being.” Strasser added that this exemplifies how partner ecosystems extend the value of Teams, particularly in scenarios involving frontline workers.
Rain serves middle-market and enterprise organizations nationwide, supporting over 3.5 million employees and facilitating more than $3 billion in early wage access. The company’s comprehensive suite of offerings aims to eliminate payday loans and predatory financial products, championing individual empowerment by giving employees control over their income and financial futures.
