PitchBook, a provider of private capital market intelligence, has announced the general availability of its proprietary data directly within Anthropic’s Claude, a prominent large language model (LLM), allowing enterprise users to access private market insights through conversational AI prompts. This integration expands on the previously launched Claude integration with Morningstar, PitchBook’s parent company, aiming to broaden access to high-quality financial intelligence across both public and private markets.
Thomas Van Buskirk, Executive Vice President of Technology and Engineering at PitchBook, stated, “AI is only as good as the data that powers it. Our proprietary data operations approach combines advanced AI and machine learning with expert human analysis, making PitchBook the most trusted source for private capital data. Partners like Anthropic recognize the power of combining their AI models with our best-in-class data. By integrating PitchBook’s leading private market data into Claude, we’re enabling professionals to access insights they can trust and setting a new standard for data quality in financial AI.”
PitchBook subscribers can now query proprietary data within Claude using natural-language prompts, which generates tailored outputs while upholding data security, accuracy, and compliance standards. This integration is designed to transform how financial institutions, including analysts, bankers, and investors, access and apply private market intelligence, thereby streamlining complex workflows such as deal sourcing, due diligence, market mapping, and valuation analysis.
This initiative is part of PitchBook’s expanding network of strategic partnerships with enterprise LLMs and AI-powered tools, which also includes collaborations with Perplexity, Rogo, Hebbia, Finster, Model ML, and Farsight.
Nicholas Lin, Head of Product, Financial Services at Anthropic, commented, “As we evaluated integration partners for Claude for Financial Services, PitchBook was an obvious choice due to their authority on private capital market intelligence. By integrating PitchBook’s trusted data into Claude, we’re giving financial professionals the ability to combine intelligence with data you can trust.”
PitchBook’s broader AI-powered experience strategy focuses on enabling users to make faster, more confident decisions based on high-fidelity data. The company’s roadmap prioritizes precision, responsibility, and purpose, with investments in three key areas: Data Collection Technology, which scales AI plus Human Insight (AI+HI) powered ingestion and verification engines; In-Platform Experiences, which embed AI into PitchBook’s own tools like Profile, Transcript and Research Summaries, and VC Exit Predictor; and Strategic Partnerships, which involves collaborating with leading enterprise LLMs and tools to make PitchBook’s data available across professional platforms.
These efforts position PitchBook within the private capital markets, fostering an era of AI-driven intelligence built on robust data quality. PitchBook’s integration is now available to Claude users with enterprise access.
