Paysafe has expanded its partnership with Boosteroid, the cloud gaming provider, to integrate Pix and Boleto Bancário as payment options for gamers in Brazil. This expansion builds on Paysafe’s existing support for Boosteroid with its Paysafecard eCash solution across Europe.
The integration of Paysafe’s SafetyPay solution for Brazil now enables Boosteroid’s online checkout to feature Pix, the Brazilian Central Bank (BCB)’s instant payment system, which is utilized by 76.4% of Brazilians. When selecting Pix, gamers use their banking app to scan a QR code or enter a Pix ‘key’ to complete transactions in near real-time, gaining immediate access to Boosteroid’s game library. Boosteroid offers over 1,700 PC video games accessible via native apps or in-browser across various devices.
Additionally, Boleto Bancário, a voucher-based payment option, is now available, catering to cash-focused consumers. BCB research indicates that 68.9% of Brazilians continue to use cash. After generating a voucher at checkout, subscription payments can be completed in-person with cash at Brazilian bank branches, lottery agencies, and other selected retail stores.
