Outpost24 Acquires Infinipoint to Bolster Zero Trust Workforce Access and Identity Security

Outpost24, a global provider of cybersecurity solutions, has acquired Infinipoint, a specialist in device identity, posture validation, and secure workforce access, marking Outpost24’s entry into the Zero Trust Workforce Access market and enhancing its identity security division, Specops.

The acquisition addresses a critical security gap: while authentication methods like Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO) confirm user identity, they do not validate the security of the device being used. This vulnerability presents a significant risk in hybrid work environments where employees, contractors, and partners use a mix of corporate and unmanaged devices. The integration aims to ensure that only secure, compliant devices can access critical systems, thereby reducing credential misuse, preventing lateral movement, and supporting regulatory assurance.

The combined offering will integrate Specops’ authentication expertise with Infinipoint’s device identity and posture capabilities. This unified, context-aware approach to workforce access will allow organizations to evaluate both user and device trust at the moment of access. The collaboration is designed to strengthen Zero Trust adoption, improve compliance, and enhance operational efficiencies through Infinipoint’s self-service and auto-remediation features, applicable across various devices and identity providers.

Ido Erlichman, Chief Executive Officer of Outpost24, stated that the addition of Infinipoint’s capabilities to the Specops platform establishes a new benchmark for Zero Trust Workforce Access, providing a holistic security layer that validates every access attempt based on both the person and their device. He emphasized that this acquisition reinforces the company’s identity security portfolio and its strategy to help customers reduce risk. Shirona Partem, Managing Director of Specops, added that Infinipoint’s device identity and posture verification complement both password and passwordless authentication models, offering stronger assurance for trusted user and device access and broadening Specops’ support for workforce protection.

Ran Lampert, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Infinipoint, expressed enthusiasm for joining Outpost24, noting the opportunity to extend device identity and posture enforcement to a wider global audience. He highlighted that this integration establishes a new standard for Zero Trust access by combining user and device validation into a seamless security framework, aiming to eliminate historic access vulnerabilities and facilitate secure, friction-free access globally.
