Oscar Health, a leading healthcare technology company, has announced a new suite of health plans and AI-powered features designed for the 2026 open enrollment period. These offerings aim to enhance member experience and provide specialized care options across 573 counties in 20 states, including new expansions into Alabama and Mississippi.
“Choice is power,” stated Mark Bertolini, CEO of Oscar Health. “Oscar’s lineup of new products brings surprising new experiences and rewards to help members manage their health and get the most out of their plan. Everyone should be able to buy health coverage on their terms. We call it health insurance for real life.” Oscar Health is recognized as one of the largest carriers in the individual market, and the company reports that over three in five members recommend Oscar to family and friends.
Among the new introductions is Oswell, a personal AI agent developed in collaboration with OpenAI. Oswell offers on-demand support by drawing information from members’ medical records, interactions with Oscar care guides, and plan benefit documents. This allows it to assist with understanding medications, explaining test results, checking drug interactions, facilitating prescription refills, reviewing symptoms, and suggesting questions for doctors. Oswell also connects members to live chats, $0 virtual care with Oscar clinicians (subject to plan type and availability), and provides recommendations for in-network doctors. Its support is based on AI medical and behavioral safety research.
Oscar Unlocks is another digital rewards program providing members with incentives for healthy actions and completing digital tasks, such as setting up autopay or opting for paperless communication. Increased engagement can lead to benefits like priority access to a VIP Care Team. This program is not available in New Jersey and Oklahoma.
The company is also launching innovative health plans, including HelloMeno, described as the first menopause plan available in the individual market. This program offers $0 primary care, gynecologist, and behavioral health visits, along with no-cost labs, hormone therapy, insomnia medications, and bone density scans. Members can access Elektra Health experts 24/7 and may achieve estimated annual savings of approximately $900 based on an ACA plan with a CSR 150.
Oscar Health is expanding its clinical plans designed for individuals managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, COPD, asthma, and cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic syndrome. These plans, developed by Oscar clinicians, are projected to save members an estimated $800 annually (based on an ACA plan with a CSR 150). They include tailored experiences with $0 primary and specialist care, $0 screenings, low-cost medications, free health coaching, wellness apps, and medical devices. These clinical plans are available in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas.
The Hola Oscar experience is available across all plans, connecting Hispanic and Latino members with care teams and communities that share their cultural background. Additionally, employers and employees in Des Moines, Iowa, can enroll in the new Hy-Vee Health with Oscar plan, which offers concierge care at a fixed price.
